We are a small family business and pride ourselves on offering a personal service that’s completely tailored to your needs.
Throughout my career I have been responsible for numerous events and projects, including formal dinners, balls, receptions, launches, parties, family celebrations and weddings. I love organizing and being creative!
My business idea started after my own daughter’s wedding. We had a great time planning all the details – including a “plan B” for a rainy day! However, I realized that there were lots of things that could only be done in the few days before the actual wedding and there would not be enough time unless we had help. Also we were holding the reception in a marquee in our garden and I knew that I didn’t want to spend the day running round worrying about parking, security, the caterers, photographer, musicians, flowers, storing any presents, ordering taxis etc – not to mention making sure that the portable loos were in working order for the duration! I really wanted to be able to relax and enjoy the day – and I did!
Luckily we knew someone who was able to help us on the day and she came for a briefing meeting a few weeks before and also helped us the day before the wedding. A real angel in disguise!
Many of you will be able to rope in friends and family to help plan and get ready for your event but often you will want all of these people to be guests on the actual day.
I also realized that if you are not used to organizing events or simply don’t enjoy organizing, then the experience will be stressful and miserable if help isn’t available.
With all this in mind I thought it would be a good idea to offer an on-the-day co-ordination service with a focus on home and marquee based events. This soon extended through to providing a practical planning service for events based both at home and elsewhere.
To make sure that we give a proper, high quality personal service, we only take on a limited number of assignments and we will never undertake more than one event on a particular day. I personally lead the service but I can call on other people, with a range of specialist skills, if other help is needed.
It’s really important that you like and trust whoever is going to provide a service for you. You will only be able to decide about this after we have had an initial meeting and perhaps talked to other people who have been clients.
